Over the past 6 years we have regularly hired transportable buildings including offices, smoko huts and ablution blocks from Universal Portables in Townsville. These hired units suit our needs on projects and are equipped with all the necessary equipment that we request. The process of obtaining a quote is quick and accurate and hire agreements are well followed when it comes to returns/damages and hire extensions. We generally get a very quick turnaround after requesting a quote with an equipment list detailing the furniture and so on that we require. We sometimes operate in emergency situations and these buildings can be organised very quickly. Transport is managed in conjunction with the owners and is done in an organised manner to land the units in the correct position for our works with very few issues with landowners. The buildings often need to be placed for long durations and the owners manage this activity well providing detailed estimates for installation to the relevant building or cyclone standards and can supply copies of drawings for foundations and so on. These foundation installations may need to be negotiated with the persons we are renting the land off for projects and these items may need to be modified to suit certain situations which happens well. These foundations also need to be removed at the end of projects and this is done effectively leaving sites well cleaned up in their original state. The equipment is always checked for the required safety standards including test and tag/RCD checks, defects and so on. The equipment is of good condition. If there are issues with the equipment on hire, we notify Universal immediately and replacement items are generally organised quickly. We have a good working relationship with Universal Portables as they have supplied quality buildings in the past and offer a quality service that suits our needs when hiring transportable buildings for our construction projects.
